AREAS OF FOCUS
We are entering a new era of less water, food and sustainable methods of growing fresh
and nutritous food. About half of the cost of our food is due to transportation costs, including
fuel. We need to come together and learn to grow, cultivate, manage and distribute fresh produce
to provide a healthier future for our families and local economies.
Let's build an Aquaponic Greenhouse together, indoors our outdoors, on or off the grid. With EEE, Inc. you can feel confident that our experienced professionals can analyze your proposed project in detail and help you construct your facility in a sustainable, efficient, and eco-friendly manner.
This is an outdoor, soil based farm in Chino, CA. The owner wants to bring this indoors, with full climate control to grow under LED lights - off grid to supplement unfavorable growing conditions, such as winter, and using aquaponics to increase the nutritional capacity of the crops.
Aquaponics is the cultivation of fish and plants together in a constructed, recirculating ecosystem utilizing natural bacterial cycles to convert fish waste to plant nutrients. This is an environmentally friendly, natural food-growing method that harnesses the best attributes of aquaculture and hydroponics without the need to discard water, filtrate or add chemical fertilizers. The benefits of Aquaponic food are:
90% less water than traditional soil farming
Aquaponics is the Key
This is Ken and Jeff (in red) at Ken's Ouroboros Farm located in Half Moon Bay, CA. Ken designed and built this aquaponic greehouse and is supplying over 500 restaurants in San Francisco with fresh and vibrant local produce, as well as 800 lbs of the best tasting and succulent catfish around from the organic fish feed Ken sources for feeding the fish. The picture to the right is a small aquaponic system you will see unpon entering Ouroboros Farm. We admire such a wonderful system and farm.
Ken told us that he would like to bring this method of growing indoors It would be an honor to collaborate with Ken, and others, and build an indoor aquaponic farm to help feed our communites. Our goal is to make this a reality all over the nation and globe. Such a farm would also be a living laboratory for what could be done if we all come together for a common purpose - to help fight food, water and energy insecurity. By the way - the lettuce, tomatos, herbs, fish and many other fruits and vegetables are absolutely delicious!
